Logline:
A neurotic voice actor, with a temporary throat disorder, has an exceptionally bad day when he haplessly becomes entangled in an underground crime syndicate after a bogus voiceover gig goes catastrophically wrong.
Synopsis:
Dysphonia is an offbeat crime thriller about neurotic voice actor, Owen Pinn. After temporarily damaging his vocal cords in a muscle worship session, Owen hesitantly accepts an ominous voiceover job. Fuelled by financial trouble, desperation and the support of Petunia, an ageing female bodybuilder, Owen haplessly learns he's being led astray by a gang of inanimate object-nicknamed criminals who need him to imitate the voice of a dead hostage. However, unfortunately for the criminals, Owen has lost his voice in what quickly becomes a day where things go from bad to worse to deadly for everyone.
